The Quantitative Reasoning Center is located on the Main Floor of the Waidner-Spahr Library, directly across from the Norman M. Eberly Multilingual Writing Center. We offer one-one-one tutoring by appointment as well as drop-in tutoring.
One-on-One Tutoring
Individualized tutoring is available by appointment Sunday - Thursday in the QR Center. To schedule a one-on-one appointment with a QR tutor, please visit the . Once you are signed in, select the Quantitative Reasoning Tutoring schedule, and pick the course name or area of generalized quantitative support that you need. When you make your appointment, please also paste or upload your assignment and any work that you have done (if applicable).
All tutoring is in-person. There is an option for remote tutoring for anyone who may need it due to illness or study abroad. Please refer to this document to help prepare for your session.

Help Rooms
QR Center Help Rooms are available for Mathematics and Computer Sciences courses.
The help room hours begin during the second week of classes and continue through the last week of classes. The help room is not staffed over spring break and will have limited availability during the final exam period.

Data and Scientific Reasoning Lab
The Data and Scientific Reasoning Lab provides a space for students to work with software that is commonly used in quantitative fields. For the Spring 2025 semester, tutors offer drop-in support for the following programs:
- Excel, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Java, Python, R, ReactJS, SQL, Stata
The Data and Scientific Reasoning Lab is located on the lower level of Waidner-Spahr Library, to the left of the Alden Room.
This space is available whenever the library is open and students are welcome to use the lab, even when there are no tutors working. Please note, there are classes scheduled in the lab during certain parts of the week, and the lab will be unavailable during these times.
There are no tutoring hours in the lab during final exam week, as it is located in the quiet section of the library.

Generalized Quantitative Support
The Quantitative Reasoning Center is happy to provide appointments for general quantitative support. Students can make a one-on-one appointment to meet with a tutor for help with the following quantitative skills and software packages. Please schedule an appointment!
