Please mark your calendars for a screening of Counted Out at 7pm on Thursday, March 20 at the Carlisle Theatre!
"Counted Out investigates the biggest crises of our time—political polarization, racial and economic inequity, a global pandemic, and climate change—through an unexpected lens: math. In our current information economy, math is everywhere. The people we date, the news we see, the influence of our votes, the candidates who win elections, the education we have access to, the jobs we get—all of it is underwritten by an invisible layer of math that few of us understand, or even notice. But whether we know it or not, our numeric literacy—whether we can speak the language of math—is a critical determinant of social and economic power. Through a mosaic of personal stories, expert interviews, and scenes of math transformation in action, Counted Out shows what’s at risk if we keep the status quo. Do we want an America in which most of us don’t consider ourselves “math people”? Where math proficiency goes down as students grow up? Or do we want a country where everyone can understand the math that undergirds our society—and can help shape it?"
Please see the film's website https://www.countedoutfilm.com/ for further information.

New Microsoft Teams "Inactive Guest" Review Process
Starting March 24th, ĢƵ Information Technology Services will allow Team Owners to manage guest user accounts, in the past they were disabled due to inactivity automatically. This change enhances security by enabling Team Owners to regularly review and update guest access, ensuring only authorized individuals retain access. Reviewing guest accounts helps identify and remove those that are no longer needed, aligning with best practices in identity governance. This report will come out monthly for review.
Once this policy is enabled, Team Owners will receive an email notifying them of groups where guest access needs to be reviewed. Only users that have not logged in for the past 90 days will be shown in this report. Upon clicking the “start review” process, a page will load that will allow you the choice of Approving access for continued access to resources, or denying access if the account is no longer used. It is advisable to manage the members of your Team resources and remove any guest accounts that are no longer being used. If you do not respond to the review request the accounts will be denied by default.

Biometric Screenings
Thursday, March 27 | 7:30 - 9 a.m. | Check-In HUB Side Room 203
The Biometric Screening provides a snapshot of your health looking at your fasting total cholesterol and glucose. Blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference and body mass index (BMI) also should be examined for a fuller picture. This is a collective review of your risk factors for developing heart disease, stroke and diabetes known as Metabolic Syndrome. The number of people with metabolic syndrome increases with age, affecting more than 40 percent of people in their 60s and 70s. Several factors increase your risk for developing the syndrome – high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes or high blood sugar, a lack of physical activity, smoking, and family history. Monitoring your blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol levels and BMI gives you the ability to stay on top of your overall health. Knowing your numbers provides the information to you for conversations with your personal physician. Do you know your numbers? If not, please plan to complete this health screening. For 2024-2025, the free biometric screening is available to the first 100 registrants or complete this screening during your annual well visit for your physical exam with your healthcare provider. Your Biometric screening must be completed on or before Friday, May 30, 2025 to meet the deadlines of the 2024-2025 Wellness Incentive Program Challenge!
Click on the more information link below to enroll and sign-up now for your biometric screening appointment. The free biometric screening includes a lipid/glucose profile. Fasting is required for 10-12 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time for the most accurate results. Additional optional screenings are available for a small fee that can be paid via payroll deduction.
