Change Management is a guiding process to help transition the campus community from Banner and other impacted applications to Workday.

Change Management assists with engagement of a new process and understanding changes - and the reason a change is needed, supporting the adoption of the change(s).

Key components of Change Management, according to the ADKAR model for change include:

• Awareness - an awareness and understanding of the need for the change(s)
• Desire - a desire to participate and support the change(s)
• Knowledge - an understanding and gaining knowledge on what and how to successfully change
• Ability - learning and gaining ability to implement the skills and behaviors for the change
• Reinforcement - supporting and sustaining the change(s)

Our Change Management team at Dickinson will:

• act as liaisons to understand concerns and gather information on change impact(s)
• provide outreach and transparent communications to build understanding of change impacts
• share information related to the benefits and/or challenges of change(s) happening
• prepare and/or provide training to ensure the campus is educated with the needed knowledge and skills
• support and reinforce new processes to increase adoption and effectiveness of changes.

During Workday implementation, communications provided online and through our Workday e-newsletter will raise awareness of progress, building desire and knowledge - as well as ability - for a successful, sustainable transition to Workday!
