Wickedness abounds this Valentine’s weekend as the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Choir, in conjunction with the Lyric Performance Practicum, performs a classic work about star-crossed lovers.

While Dido, the queen of Carthage, is besieged by the gods and consumed by her love for the demigod Aeneas, a rivaling sorceress conspires her doom. This classic British opera is by Henry Purcell to a libretto by Nahum Tate.
